at the ground meaning youre in position and your arms are beneath you, not at an angle yet.

Would that save an extra move when you pass?

  1. you have to move your feet all the time so saving an extra move probably wont help much. stay low feer shoulder width apart arms out in front with a nice platform and pass/.

  2. the most important thing is to stay low at all times on defense. if you do this.. which many high school volleyball players don't... you will be much more successful at defense and will be able to move to the ball much quicker. you should start with your arms in front of you and slightly bent with your palms facing upwards. stay low and when you pass or dig a ball you will be able to quickly move you arms upwards to set the ball and down to pass. however NEVER NEVER NEVER start with your arms set in your passing platform, you should always be ready to move them up or down.

  3. i play libero when i play volleyball and you should keep your legs shoulder length apart and when you pass the ball you have to rock your hips and finish to the target or your intended spot of passing the ball

  4. it is best to start down and with your arms in front of you, but not as a platform. if a ball came high, you could set the ball if your hands were apart, and it is easier to move with your hands apart.

  5. in front of you, nice and flat like a platform
