Is it best to remove the battery when plugging in my Mac Book Pro?

I am using my Mac Book on battery most of the time and wait for it to run out until I plug it in.

Should I remove the battery once it's been recharged and work plugged in?

Thanks.

  1. Just keep it plugged in all the time when not moving around. Once you hit 100% the excess gets used to power the system, and the battery level is frozen at full till you unplug it. And there's no charge memory lik times of old. wonderful!

  2. dont s***w around with your battery just leave it in and keep it plugged in..

  3. No. Most machines rely on the battery to soak up any mains surges. Without the battery you lose a lot of electrical protection.

  4. You don't have to wait for it to run down before you plug it in.

There is no memory effect like ni-cad batteries of the past.

If you are running heavy applications like iMovie or burning DVD's etc, you should do it plugged in regardless of your battery condition.

You cannot overcharge these batteries, just leave it plugged in.
