I have been trying to conceive for 5 months now with no luck. I know I am able to get pregnant so if we try every other day shouldn't I for sure become pregnant soon?

  1. The fertility specialist told me that when you don't know for sure when you might ovulate and if you haven't had a sperm check down on your husband/boyfriend then it is best to have s*x every other day to increase the chances of hitting the right time that way you have a better chance of hitting a fertile time plus the sperm is rebuilding before the next time.

  2. don't know about the "for sure" part but it could very well be a good thing more than a bad thing.

  3. Yes, it is :) This way you are sure to hit the ovulation date ;) It's what I did

  4. I asked my obgyn the same question. I was told that it is best to wait a day in between so every other day is the best to let him get his "stock supply" filled again. I have also read on many sites that the best time to have intercourse is the couple days leading up to ovulation. My husband and I have been ttc, but for only three months. I will find out for this month in about a week or so. I am so excited! Good luck!

  5. Me and my husband tried every other day and every day. It just has to be at the right time and even when it is at the right time you wont get pregnant, there is no "for sure" way...believe me we have been trying for 10 mos. Goodluck and chart your ovuoation so that you know the best time to BD. :)

  6. I just got my BFP this morning, and the only different thing that we did was to have s*x every day instead of every other day.  I've also heard that as long as his sperm is o.k., every day works.

  7. To improve your chances getting pregnant you need to make love on your fertile days. You only have 5-6 fertile days each cycle, the 4-5 fertile days before and the day of ovulation. Making love more than 5 days before the day of ovulation or making love the day after ovulation will not get you pregnant.

Couples who tried to get pregnant were previously told to have s*x once every other day during their fertile days. But studies have shown you can improve your chances if you have s*x once a day every day (as long as his sperm are OK) during the fertile 4-5 days prior to, and the day of, ovulation.
