Question:

Is it better to be CLEAN or GREEN?

I know that using disposable products is not the green thing to do. However, when it comes to keeping things clean, it says that tossing out the germs is better than saving them & putting them back on the surface again & again. I know that rags can be washed, sponges can be replaced, & many cleaners that kill germs.

Still, when I read articles about cleaning, they seem to completely disagree with the idea of being green. It also doesn’t make sense to be green if you are always sick. Isn’t part of the purpose of being green to live a healthier life?

Can you be clean & green?

  1. Be clean, of course. "Being green" is the stupidest thing ever. It's just giving in to the stupid environmentalists because you've believed what they've told you about that humans are destroying the earth.

  2. well, when most articles are talking about disinfecting and household cleaning, they are usually not with the mindset of doing these things in an earth- friendly way.

I certainly think you can be clean and green at the same time. (In fact, I would think using conventional cleaning products would cause you more harm than the benefits of killing germs, what with all the chemicals and artificial fragrances contained in these items. Aren't most of them considered toxic and poisonous?)

There are many "green" options (without the use of chemicals and artificial components) out there for cleaning your house, whether it be brand name items or natural solutions found right in your kitchen (such as citrus or vinegar).

I reference this website alot (Care2.com) when it comes to finding earth friendly options to conventional ways of doing things.

I hope this is the type of answer you were looking for. If not, sorry to have wasted your time!

  3. From a health standpoint clean.  But the two are not completely uncombinable.  There is nothing that says you can't live a clean and healthy lifestyle that is green too.  Hygiene and food prep standards can be maintained using green products for sanitation.

  4. No
