As far as the rocking goes... does it even make a difference? OR is it better to be lower (closer to the ocean) or up higher so that you don't get as sea sick...

last cruise i went on i was sooo sick, even the medicine didn't help...even the crew members were sea sick! :(

  1. Lower and the centre of the ship is the best place to be if you are subject to motion sickness.

It depends where you where and how bad the weather was on your last cruise.  If you were on a high deck, a lower deck might be better. If you were on a low deck, the centre of the boat is better.

There is less noticeable rocking and rolling movement in that area, although to be honest, cruise ships are so large to-day and so well stabilized, it takes really bad weather to make the movement noticeable.

  2. When you are lower you tend to feel claustrophobic so you tend to feel more sea sick. At least when you are higher you have fresh air that really helps :)

  3. The say lower mid ship. Where did u go to? Stay Western Carrbibean and u cant go wrong!

  4. Mid ship and lower you will find the most stable.  Also outside cabin with an ocean view so you have a reference point which helps with sea sickness.

My partner in this business gets sea sick very easily and wears the patch every time we go out.

    Happy sailing next time out.

  5. lower mid part of the ship :D
