Is it better to brush your dog when he/she is wet or dry?!?

It's good either way but I prefer brushing my dog right after her bath but I don't think it really matters.

it depends on what your dog's coat is like.

If you have a pomeranian or a dog with big poofy or long fur, it's better to brush him right after a bath.

But it probably would be ok to brush a short  haired dog when he's dry.

well if your dog has long hair its best to brush when its dry. if you brush it when its wet it can cause real bad matts and breakage and as patient paws said, it can make your dog dislike grooming.

Well, brushing wet can pull a dogs hair and cause them to get frustrated, aggravated and end up hating grooming. If you want to brush wet, make sure you're using a detangle shampoo or conditioner on your dog when you bathe it.

Brushing dry, in my opinion, is better. You can get the majority of the undercoat out (if you're using a good shedding comb/brush), its easier to see the knots and tangles and to work around them until you can get the correct tools to get them out.

I like brushing my dog when she is dry because then the hair is easier to cleanup and get off of my hands.  Either way is fine, but it's more about what you prefer.

I brush my dogs hair when it is wet after doggie bath day, and then again the next day when it is dry.  I brush my dogs every day, so they are used to being brushed out.  My dogs also have blow dryers for their hair too.

just giving my best opinion...

it would problably be eaisier when he/she is wet because when you brush the hair will come out that needs to...and it will dry her off faster..or you could do both..wet then do it again when she is dry
