Is it better to call first or walk into stores like publix or micro center for job application?

Just wondering because I am off work on weekends and I need a 2nd job. I was wondering if publix or microcenter just hired for the weekend and if its better to call first to schedule a time to speak with the manager or just go in and pick up a application?

You will have to go in and fill out the app. at a computer kiosk...the process will take about 45 minutes to complete...and yes they do hire for the weekends.... keep in mind that the job market maybe very tight in your area... and most companies like Publix have already done their summer hiring.....good luck ....
