  1. As long as you eat it, that is all that counts!

  2. It tastes the same either way.

  3. i've never eaten sushi with a fork.  i use chopsticks or my hands if there are no chopsticks.  i imagine trying to eat sushi with a fork would be pretty hard.  how would you grab it without falling apart?  i dunno...i guess i'll never know.

    aloha!

  4. none of the above.i prefer using my fingers lol

it doesn't matter.taste the same tho

  5. It will taste the same no matter how you eat it, however I think it is better to use chopsticks. That is how sushi is meant to be eaten!

  6. as long as it tastes good!

  7. Originally.. sushi is finger food, you can eat it with fingers, especially sushi rolls.

  8. You may eat sushi with your hands or with chopsticks, whatever is more comfortable ...

chopsticks, you get a better grip .. but if you dont know how to use chop sticks you can use a fork too.

  9. It is traditionally eaten with no utensils. Just use your fingers :)

  10. I use Japanese chopsticks (more pointed) and fingers sometimes. Fork is impractical for sushi especially when dipping into the soy sauce-wasabi.

  11. chopsticks!

  12. There is no difference, as long as you feel good there's nothing wrong with it.

  13. According to Japanese etiquette, sushi should be eaten with hands and sashimi (raw fish slices without rice) should be eaten with chopsticks.  Although in American culture, it is said that, if you sit at the bar, you should place your chopsticks in front of you, parallel to the edge of the bar, it is just general table manner (sushi or not) to place the chopsticks that way.  The same applies if you absolutely must place the chopsticks on your plate:  put them across the plate, not leaning sideways.  I don't know why, it's just something my grandmother always scolded me about whenever I set the dinner table wrong or put my chopsticks the wrong way on my bowl and plate.  Most of all, NEVER EVER pass food from one pair of chopsticks to another, that's how descendants pass a deceased's bones to each other.  If you must pass food to another person, just put it on their plate and then they pick it up themselves.  I have asked "why" too many times, I was told by elders that that's "just the way it is."

But in America, eating at sushi restaurants is less strict than eating as a guest over at somebody's house, especially dining with the elders.  My daughter eats sushi with a fork, because she hasn't quite mastered chopsticks yet.  And I'm not going to scold her as the elders once scolded me.

Oh, and it is best to dip the sushi in soysauce "fish side" first and also put it on your tongue fish-side first.  That way, the soysauce won't disintegrate the rice.  Don't drench it with soysauce or wasabi, otherwise it takes away the fresh, sweet taste of each piece of fish.  And be sure to eat a bit of the ginger, which is a "cleanser" for your tongue like rinsing with water before you taste the next wine, in between each type of fish.

  14. It's easier for me to use chopsticks.

But sometimes I will eat with my hands

  15. chopsticks are hjard i would eat them with forks

  16. I eat it with me hands.

  17. No fork. Just use Chopsticks or your fingers.

  18. I use my fingers mostly but i also use my chopsticks

  19. I can't see how you'd use a fork to eat sushi without making it fall apart.

Sushi was originally supposed to be finger food, so if you can't use chopsticks,it's perfectly acceptable to use your fingers

  20. Actually, it should be eaten with your fingers.

    (that's the proper way)

  21. I pprefer to use chop sticks, but dont use a fork! thats a disgrace! lol, if you dont like chopsticks, use your fingers, its actually easier that way, if you dont mind your fingers smelling like fish...
