This question may apply to all rechargeable electronic devices. Most of these devices come with a little charge, and I have seen this question before. Will the battery life be better if you fully charge your device before turning it on for the first time, or if you kill of whatever charge is there first then fully charging it?

  1. Killing or draining the battery too deeply is bad for it.  If the battery is Li-Ion you don't need to charge it before use but why not?  I'd rather know how much charge is in the battery rather than try to use one when I had no idea how long it might last.  It won't hurt any battery to give it a charge before you use it for the first time.

  2. You shouldn't let the battery go completely flat before recharge but I have found it best to go very cose to flat before recharge
