  1. We usually buy our Euros at the Post Office here in the UK - check them out.

  2. Check out the link below

  3. You get the poorest rate from any airport - and buying with a cash card will also incur fees, your best bet would be to go out NOW and go and exchange some Cash for Euro at a local travel agents - shop round for the best deal.

  4. For a good exchange rate and efficiency of conversion take pounds sterling cash and exchange it in Spain. I accept that not everyone is happy carrying a big wad of cash around with them though. It does however remain the most cost effective option.

Travel agents rarely offer the best rates, infact in a recent "Which" survey Thomas Cook travel agents were found to be the most costly way of obtaining your holiday money. Airports aren't good places to do foreign exchange either if you can avoid it, their immense overheads mean poor rates or high commision.

For convenience I simply use my Nat West ATM card when in Spain to get my Euros. The exchange rate offered by the banks at the cash machine is always very good but the charges levied by Nat West (not the spanish banks) tend to cancel that out.

When it comes down to it unless you are exchanging thousands of pounds the difference between the various ways of doing holiday foreign exchange is only the price of a few drinks anyway.

  5. If you are in Bristol.   The cheapest place to get them is Marks and Spencer Cribbs Causeway.   203 is not giving good advice I`m afraid.
