Is it better to go Montpellier in May/June? In terms of exposure to festivals, culture etc?

I'm planning to go in End-May/Mid-June.. planning to paris as well. Any suggestions please? I'm so lost in planning the itinerary.

There is a dance festival at the end of june you might enjoy. Most things go on later in the year.

But the city itself is well worth your visit, even if not much is going on cuturally...
