  1. I suggest Phuket because  Phuket is one of the most popular islands in Thailand. This lovely island has a wealth of excellent resorts that cater all travellers who want to get away from it all. From resorts with small unique bungalows overlooking the beach to top five-star resorts with luxurious villas…Phuket has it all everthings.

This island provides an good combination of perfect silky soft white palm-lined beaches, superb hospitality and great value accommodation!

And also offer world class diving in the Andaman Sea, golf at world-standard championship courses or exciting eco-adventures in tropical forests, Phuket is a wunderful place to extend your horizons.

Take speedboat trip to explore the surrounding islands, or enjoy a serene cruise around mystical Phang Nga Bay. Or enjoy Phuket’s vibrant nightlife in Patong Beach.

Phuket has everything you’re looking for. It caters to all tastes, all budget, and promises to deliver a happiness holiday in the exotic surrounds of one of the planet’s most exciting island getaways.

  2. Try Sri Lanka its spectacular and cheap. Take a peek www.ukslbureau.com or mail me ukslbureau@yahoo.com Shamila

  3. phuket, because it is beautiful and it gets you away from every day life

  4. Why not do all 3 ?

You can get cheap flights with Air Asia between Singapore and both Bangkok / Phuket.

Singapore is ok but as a tourist probably not much to do or see after a couple of days. Phuket has lively nightlife, great beaches. Bangkom is interesting but hectic.

  5. I'd suggest Phuket.  Phuket is the biggest island in Thailand, and there are several excellent beaches. The waters are usually clear and very good for diving. There are a lot of tourists all year round, but slightly less during low season (rainy season), from May till September.

As long as you avoid the usually crowded Patong and Karon beaches on the west coast, you can easily find remote beaches for walking, jogging, or just relaxing. There are not many sights to speak of on the island, but perhaps that makes it all so relaxed.

Two of the main attractions near Phuket are the Phi Phi Islands and the Phang Nga Bay, with the so-called James Bond Island. The name comes from The Bond film "Man with The Golden Gun" which was partly filmed on this small island. There is a good choice of organized day trips from Phuket to both the Phi Phi Islands and Phang Nga Bay.

Ocean activities are the biggest draw for tourists in Phuket. Courses and equipment are available at most major beaches for scuba diving, Scuba diving as well as snorkeling in the lagoons with coral reefs. You can find plenty of good dive sites all around Phuket (shark point, anemone reef, etc.) but there are some world class dive sites you don’t want to miss for any reason. You can join a 5 days live aboard to the Similan Islands , a natural reserve where you can spot wales sharks and manta rays. There is also the number one spot in the Andaman sea, Hin Daeng , situated just few hours of speed boat from Phuket. It is important to notice than coral reefs were left mostly untouched by the 2004 tsunami.

You can rent wind surfboards, dinghies, canoes and yachts from many locations for those interested in boating. For a more colorful adventure you can explore the limestone caverns of Phang Nga Bay on guided tours in inflatable canoes.

While scuba diving is probably one of the most popular activities in Phuket, the island also offers many opportunities for more land-oriented outdoor activities such as mountain biking through the western range of the island. Guided horseback tours are also a relaxing way to go sightseeing. Phuket also has a few beautiful golf courses that were built on the remains of the tin mines that first brought industry to the island.

Those interested in an exciting local spectator sport might enjoy checking out the Thai boxing , or "Muay Thai", at Saphan Hin stadium in Phuket Town.  Boxers strike blows at and with every part of their bodies, making this a very thrilling spectator event.  If you need more info, try this http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Phuket...  Have a nice trip!

  6. I'm in Bangkok right and it truly does depend on what you are looking for.

There are lots of temples and stuff but not much else to do. Its very busy and a culture shock to be honest.

I'm going to Phuket in a few days and it looks to be like Mexico or something. If you want to sit on the beach type of place.

  7. i absolutely loved phuket, and thought it was way better then bangkok. the atmosphere and everything was awesome. such a good place to stay

  8. Depends on what you want to do and how much money you have.

Bangkok will have cheaper accommodation than Singapore for a similar type hotel room. I think there is more stuff to do in Bangkok, besides the beer is cheaper too!

Pattaya (a beach and party city, 2 hours from Bangkok) is even cheaper than Phuket, Bangkok and definitely Singapore!

Like I said above - depends on what you want to do and how your finances hold up.   Thailand, my opinion, will be cheaper than Singapore especially when you get a way from Bangkok and Phuket.

P.S. You can visit Bangkok and Singapore, flying only takes a little over a couple hours flying time.  Make your trip a two-fer!

    Good luck.

  9. go for bangkok and phuket.

  10. Depends on your budget and what you want to do

1 bangkok and singapore are shopping mostly and bangkok you see a lot of temples as well.

    2. phuket for beach relaxing

  11. As everybody says it depends on what your after. Obviously if you want a relaxing, beach holiday - well the answer is pretty obvious.

But if you like the big city and good shopping then between Bangkok and Singapore - I prefer Bangkok. Bangkok is cheaper all round - especially accommodation, food, shopping, everything. Singapore has great food and more variety. The shopping there is fantastic (go to Orchard road for all the shops) but it is pricier. Decent accommodation in Singapore will cost around $100 AUD whereas you could find the equivalent in Bangkok for nearly half the price.

Singapore is smaller, cleaner but stricter so make sure you read up on the rules and laws and follow it. Bangkok has a more relaxed atmosphere but is crawling with touts and people looking to rip tourists off which can be unpleasant if you're not firm enough with them. Sightseeing wise, Bangkok beats Singapore. English is widely spoken in Singapore so language shouldn't be a barrier.

Singapore has its good points but in terms of value I love Bangkok for the cheap prices. But overall I love beach holidays so Phuket will obviously be my choice.

    Good luck :)
