Is it better to hand tame a new parakeet inside or outside cage?

both is good but its better to start in the cage cause it might me kinda turamatizing if you jus grab them and pull them outa thei safe zone and then try to tame it. just let it get used to your hand in the cage first

to answer your question.....tame inside first, by letting it hop onto ur hand and u feeding it fresh veges (washed carrot shavings, sprouts, celery) and just letting it play on ur hand with its safety cap on. then slowy move inside with the bird on ur hand.and then try taking it out.
