  1. If you want to bond with your love bird and be good budies, then one is enough.  If you get two, then you won't have that kind of bond.  When I sit at the computer, she sits with me and watches the keys.

  2. 2, birds do better in groups especially love birds

  3. If you get one lovebird it will bond to you more than if you get it a mate. if you have two then they will bond together, but if they are handled enough they will bond to you just fine. If you or someone is home often and there is almost always someone to talk/wistle to the bird then one should be fine. (you dont have to constantly have someone talking to them, they just need lots of attention). If there isnt going to be someone home very much then you should get two so that they have company and dont get bored. despite what you hear a lovebird living on its own wont die. They dont need a mate but its really cute when they cuddle up and groom eachother. either way, as long as they get enough attention, it should be fine. Lovebirds love to look at their reflections in mirrors, its really cute. I would get it a mirror. I have seven lovebirds. two in a cage four in another and one in its own. they are all were they can see eachother and they are constantly chatting away. one lovebird isnt as loud as two, but they can get really loud!!!! Really, it doesnt matter. it just depends on how much attention the bird gets.

  4. its better to get two if u noe ur not gonna b home a lot to play with it cuz  they don't like to b left alone too long without company

  5. This really depends on how much time you can and want to spend with the bird. It is the case with most birds that a single bird will be more likely to bond with it's human owner whereas a bird who's used to other birds will have some difficulty. Of course, all of this depends on how young they are. young birds who live in pairs can be socialized to interact well with humans.

It is a myth that lovebirds specifically NEED to have a mate, which I assume is what you're wondering.

Basically, decide what sort of companionship you're looking for and then decide whether to get one or two. and make sure you take into account how old they are. If you want a bird that will bond with you, make sure it is young and raised so far by people, and not kept in a cage with other birds for some time.

This is not to say that older/non-"socialized" birds are incapable of bonding, but if you're looking for some company who won't just ignore you, upbringing should be taken into consideration.

  6. If you want to bond more better.. I suggest 1

But if you really don't want to hand train them, you could use 2.

Don't ever get them a mirror

  7. 2 I heard if you do`nt have a mate for one it won`t live long.
