  1. You'll be hard pressed to find a place that'll just cut out your cat.  They'll get shut down if anyone traces it back.

Unless you have forced induction (turbo, supercharger) you don't really need it.  You won't gain much horsepower - but you could actually loose horsepower because you'll kill your back pressure.  Just keep your stock one.  It'll do the job just fine.

  2. FYI - If you live in USA, Federal law (good old EPA) provides a TEN THOUSAND DOLLAR  - YES ten large - fine to any mechanic or owner who removes or alters a catalyst. If the existing catalyst is not clogged or melted (which reduces flow), it probably is not going to reduce power by much, if any - unless you have made major engine mods that increase flow a lot (such as hot cam and large throttle body/carb.)

  3. No cat drop it and it will free up your motor.  Also get a performance muffler as well as larger diameter pipes.  Also free up the intake side with a k&n filter.

  4. If you remove your cat it is "technically" illegal and only supposed to be used for off-road.  Personally I just put header,high-flow cat, catback exhaust on my car and wouldn't change it to the cat delete to gain the extra 3-5 hp that it offers with my setup.

  5. If and when I get pulled over, I will be in enough problems with out adding one more.

Now maybe you think being in the extra trouble would be worth it.

    But I am not!

Violating a state law is one thing, do you think having the Feds on your case will help?
