  1. A bassist generally uses his fingers only.

  2. For a bass, I would use my fingers

For a guitar, I always use Fender thins

  3. definitely heavy. ever for electric guitar, light ones always break for me and sound bad. choose heavy!

  4. I play exclusivly with a pick so here's what I use (Keep in mind what you prefer isn't exactly what I prefer so you may not like this regardless I feel you should try 'em)

    Rock/Metal/Pop/Grunge/Nu Metal

    Dunlop Tortex .88 (green w/ a turtle)

(When playing Nu Metal sometimes I use a Dunlop Nylon 1mm)

    Intimate songs

    Dunlop Nylon .88 and 1.00mm

Also I tend to use a heavier Tortex pick (1.mm) when my strings start to get dull.

  5. Just dont use a pick. If you have to id pick heavy though
