  1. Use Avast antivirus, it can be scheduled to do a 'bootscan' before Windows gets loaded.

My favourite solution is (when I fixed my friend's computer) to load up Ubuntu, and use AVG for linux workstation - I scanned his Windows disc and cleaned it up (just took his out and plugged it into my computer).

After that I gave him a ubuntu liveCD. You know, you can install a full operating system in 20 minutes! No windows, no more c**p!

Basically, your computer works well when windows is not loaded...

Best solution - don't ever load Windows, then you won't get virusses will you? :) Just find something else to use!

  2. No, Because If The Virus Has Entered The Win32 Then Your Safe Mode Is Pretty Pointless Well Everything Is But If You Have "TrojanHunter" On A USB Or Something Boot It From Normal Mode And Run It Then It Should Get Rid Of Everything.. Soz I Can't Be More Help.

  3. no its not good to have ur pc in safe mode when ur scanning

but to remove some viruses u do need to be in safe mode

to put ur pc in safe mode restart it and continuously hit f8 until a screen comes up taht asks how u want to start ur pc select safe mode and hit enter

  4. Most antivirus programs do not function in safe mode, so you can't scan for viruses; however, you can manually delete a virus in safe mode since viruses do not function as well. this is useful when inserting an infected flash drive in your computer and you don't want to risk infection.

to enter safe mode just tap F8 or F12 during startup (before the operating system starts booting)
