I watched a preview for a motoring programme recently on tv and the question was to be tested. Unfortunately, I didn't see the programme and so I am none the wiser. It was asked regarding fuel economy. The argument in favour of an almost full tank was that less petrol was able to evapourate. The argument in favour of an emptyish tank was that the car had less weight so therefore consumed less petrol.Does anybody know the answer? I would prefer answers that are backed up by empirical facts rather than heresay, but whatever.
