Is it better to jailbreak an ipod touch or to buy the software from itunes?

I have herd that buying the software is the better thing to do and jailbreaking the touch means that the warranty is canceled on it.

buy the software.

Think about it.

jailbreaking a 300 dollar ipod and taking a risk of breaking it

or buy a 10 dollar software and download all the apps you want.

it makes more sense.

buy software. i did a jailbreak on my ipod and it crashed the hard drive

Well it all depends on what you plan to do and how careful you are.

If you want to hack your iTouch, feel free to. The applications you can get are amazing and I highly doubt iTUnes will sell half of what you can get.

But if you aren't careful, you can crash your system, or download a virus and have to pay full price to replace and/or repair it.

most people will say that jailbreaking can break your ipod...dont worry..you cant unless you s***w up the process.  you can get much more out of the ipod then with the store.  i jailbroke my friends and he hasn't had any problems at all..so yes go for it.

i jailbreak you can get more and obviously cheaper.. ziphone.com works for iphone and i touch

Jailbreaking may cause the iPod to be disfunctional.

It may stop working, and some programs may be harmed.

You will not be able to get a new iPod touch by warranty if you Jailbreak it.
