Is it better to learn to drive on a Standard or Automatic car??

Question

is it easier (in the long run) to learn to drive on an automatic, to get used to the steering, or automatically start driving on a standard (stick) shift??

Because my mom has a Stick Volvo S60 and my grandma has an automatic Honda, and I don't know which one to start with....

its better to start on the automatic and then when you feel comfortable then learn the stick

Yes, auto would be less distracting to learn on. Do learn how to drive your moms stick as soon as you can. Once you learn you never forget. You never know what may come your way in the future (a truck driving job or better, a new Ferrari) and you will be glad that you know how.

But stick is more fun.

it depends what kind of trans do you want your car to have, I have a 2007 dodge charger it a a stick

if your taking your test, its better to use aytomatic. you can learn to drive a stick after you get your license.
