My anti-spyware just found 3 high risk trojans. I've got the choice between put it in quarantine and deleting it. Which should I choose, and why putting it in quarantine would be better or worse than deleting it and vice versa...

  1. delete, it might stop a software you downloaded from working properly, but only the one that gave you the trojan in the first place, quarantine is kinda a safe guard in case you can't delete it.

  2. Personally I would leave them in quarantine for a few weeks, then if your machine is working fine delete them.

  3. you should leave it in quarantine until your sure you don't need it. sometimes anti-virus programs pick up files that are actually part of a legitimate program and they think that they are viruses or trojans. if its in quarantine it won't hurt anything.

  4. I would leave in quarantine for now and wait about 3 weeks before I delete it, this time in quarantine usually destroys the malicious programs.
