Is it better to sleep with the curtains open or closed?

  1. closed less light better sleep deeper sleep


  2. I agree with everyone else, Complete darkness gives you a deeper sleep and also helps you fall asleep faster. It gives you less things to look at and more of a chance to get bored and just fall asleep. I pretty much dont have curtains so I havent tested it out..  

  3. Closed. You want to sleep in complete darkness (and get plenty of light in the day) to help regulate your melatonin levels. Melatonin is a hormone that is important for helping you sleep and regulating your fertility cycles among many things. The exception to this when you're ovulating...you want to have a dim light during ovulation because melatonin also affects your fertility hormones. In fact, adjusting light levels can be used to regulate your cycles if you are irregular. TMI I know! LOL. But it's worked for me...
