Is it better to take TCC or AP Courses in High School?

I am still deciding whether Tarrant County Community College is better or just taking an AP course is better on a transcript,they are both counted as college credits,but you have to take a test at the end of the year to get the actual credit for AP, what looks better for college?

I have not been in hs for awhile, but I would take AP because it is better known.  Outside Tarrant, TCC may not be known.
