Is it better to take kickboxing or just regular boxing classes?

im thinking of trying out one of them but im not sure which one would be more effective exercise wise

and also how much does it cost to go to prime time boxing per month?

The good thing about a boxing gym is that often you will find "kickboxing" practitioners at work there as well.  So you can kill two birds with one stone.  There should be at least one or two kickboxing practitioners around at any decent boxing gym and from my own experiences this has held true thus far.  As far as costs go ususally a good boxing gym will rely on you donating monetary funds as you can.  Gyms won't ususally charge a set rate like a "family fitness center" does.
