Is it better to use American Dollars in the Bahamas or exchange for their currency?

I'm going to Nassau next week for a friends wedding, and I was wondering which currency is best to use while down there.

Same as a matter of fact hard to get Bahama coins when there!

Dollars are except everywhere. No need to exchange. The Bahamian dollar(B$) is equivalent in value to the US dollar.

I never exchange when I goto the Bahamas.

Use American money.  Things are cheaper if you use the US money.  When I flew from JFK to PR for a cruise I noticed stuff was cheaper when I used my money instead of theirs.

I would say go to www.xe.com to see the exchange rate (that website is backed by the federal reserve)

Whenever you go anywhere out of the country my best bet would be to exchange HALF of your cash and then exchange the rest if need be :-)
