Biotechnology is about any new developments (usually involving complicated computers and machinery) in the study of life. This includes a lot about DNA, its structure, how it works, and how we can use for our own purposes. There is other stuff too.....like making biomechanic hearts could be considered biotechnology.....but DNA is such a huge exploding area right now as well as the machinery needed to complete DNA experiments

Biotechnology includes using living organisms (including their genes and enzymes) to make useful prducts to man.

eg

Yeast used to make bread and brewing products.

Bacteria used to make cheese and yoghurt.

Genetically engineered bacteria to make insulin, interferon and vaccines.
