i know all the legalities about them being able to vote but i am bothered that they can vote but don't have to live with whomever is elected.

how about giving them 1/4 or 1/2 vote?

  1. as long as they have dual residency they can vote.  it doesn't bother me a bit personally, but if I were to live in another country why would i vote for people in the country i left?  must be a reason i chose to live in another country right?

  2. 1 vote

  3. If the US allow the same there is no reason why other countries will not reciprocate in the same way.

  4. ....something like that has already been tried...

    3/5ths.....

    not gonna fly.

but all joking aside...  I hear ya people who arent really living here should have less of a voice.    But... citizenship ... does that mean you'd pay taxes out of state? or are the Americans who live abroad not inclined to pay anything, yet still be considered Americans with a voice.   I cant answer that
