Is it cheaper to buy the wireless reciever or a wired 360 controller?

I wanna use a 360 controller on my laptop to play ROMS, and I only have a wireless controller. Is it cheaper to just buy a used wired controller? Or are there better PC controller alternatives out there? What do you suggest?

It is possible, You can buy  a wireless reciever at your local walmart.hehe. they're okay...they're 100 watts X 7.
