  1. Diesel gives you more miles per gallon/liter. Depending on which country you live it might be more or less expensive than regular unleaded. It causes more damage to the environment but all of the transport trucks use diesel.

  2. No, plus its worse for the earth than unleaded.

  3. did you look at gas vs. diesel prices?

each galon of diesel is about 1 dollar more.

  4. NO!!!!!

  5. AT THE MINUTE IF YOU HAD 1800 CC DIESEL AND A 1800CC PETROL , THE DIESEL WILL DO 8 MILES MORE. THATS WITH THE PRICE NOW,

  6. no because diesel is more expensive

  7. idk compare gas mileage and see

  8. have you been to a gas station lately?  Diesel averages across the US are about 60-70 cents a gallon higher than regular unleaded...oh and diesel is even worse for the environment than unleaded.

  9. Diesel is cheaper for long distance

  10. It is a very good question. Diesel cars give you very good average (for example a car that gives 12 km/L on petrol would give you about 22 km/L on diesel). Diesel was a good alternative until the prices for diesel soared. Still diesel would be cheaper. Now another aspect is that diesel cars require much more maintenance than petrol cars. You have to accommodate for that cost as well along side with higher diesel prices. Now you ll be wondering that why do trucks have diesel engines. That’s because diesel engines are cheaper for trucks because they get so much mileage that it breaks the point where maintenance cost is no longer an issue and savings on average outweigh anything. Plus, diesel engine is more powerful (more torque) and hence good for trucks.

So all in all, you could by a diesel and it ll be cheaper for you after 150000 kms or so …. And if you take good care of the car, it ll be cheaper for you to have a diesel. But looking at diesel prices, I wouldn’t ocunt on it. Buy hybrids.. hahahha.. and drive under 50 kmph.

    Or, scooters and motorbikes.
