Is it cheaper to purchase a ticket once we reach perth?

i will be reaching in perth .. then will purchase over the counter a ticket to melbourne.. will it be cheaper?

It would be cheaper to look for a flight on the internet (Qantas or Virgin Blue airlines). It is almost always more expensive to purchase airline tickets over the counter, plus you are risking not getting onto the flight you require as cheap flights fill up very quickly from Perth to the eastern states!

If you go to the above website and put in your date of departure it shows the cheapest flights from all airlines.

Tiger Airlines ( www.tigerairlines.com.au ) also has really cheap air fares from Perth to Melbourne- they are not featured on Flight Centre.

virgin blue is the cheapest deal forget Quantas too expensive, if you book online its cheaper also, try flying though the week Monday to Thursday evening flights are cheaper, if you go Friday or weekend it costs more

Virgin have  special fares on at the moment you pay by credit card and it prints your details out, the all you have to do is go to the airport to fly out show some ID and you get boarding pass its easy i use them all the time, they dont have meals on board but you can buy snacks and drinks or take it on board with you

It would be cheaper to fly directly to Melbourne. If you can't do that then I suggest looking at Virgin Blue for cheaper flights. If flying Qantas pre-book the ticket before you leave, they have sales on now.
