  1. Yes. You wont have to pay another ridiculous price.

  2. Its true, I've done it.  I think the infant has to be under 18 months, and it is sure nice to not have to hold the infant for 18 hours, but you can.

  3. you do not pay for a child to be in your lap if under 2 years old but they may have to pay taxes.  it ranges from location to airline.  It can depend on if she is traveling by herself or with someone.  if she is going with something then it is alright because the child can go between you.  But if it is by herself for sanity she should get another seat.  On some airlines it can be very uncomfortable and tight in space.  It can also depend on the age of the child.  And if there is a chance there is an empty seat beside her she will need the car seat on the plane.  The infant can not just go into the vacant seat with a seat belt.

  4. Um, I'm pretty sure the airline will still charge her for an extra seat.

  5. There are SO many facts of which you've 'assumed' your readers are either knowledgeable or psychic about...it is impossible to answer with any degree of certainty...for example...what do 'you' call an infant...a newborn...a one month old...a six month old...a year old, etc...how well behaved the 'infant' may or may not be...also whether the flight is one stop, two stop, etc...  Also, it may be 'cheaper' money wise...but comfort, health, etc...there's lots of room for interpretation...  Please, give us some 'facts' we can sink our teeth into so that we may be more capable of making recommendations...thanks...

  6. Yes, it is cheaper because if she puts the baby in a carrier, they will charge her for the extra seat.  If the baby is not taking up a seat, then she won't be charged.
