Is it cliche to be a huge Michael Phelps fan?

I love Michael Phelps, mainly because this summer I have really become interested in swimming, and he is a great example of form and competitive drive, but also because he does have the chance of making history. I really root for him because he is one-of-a-kind, and on top of that, beautiful to watch. Yes, I think he's gorgeous, but not just that. I think that swimming is one of the most beautiful and hardest sports out there and I really love to watch it. Does this sounds like someone's excuse to just cover up a huge crush, or can you see I am genuinely a fan for him because of his abilities?

You do sound like a genuine fan, but it IS a cliche right now to "like" Michael Phelps, and because of that most people would assume you're a middle school girl who shops at  Aeropostale. : ( sad

phelps is an inspiration he makes me wanna get out there and do wat hes doing and strive for the best..right now he is the best and i love watchn him do his thing

Well, it is cliche to be a michael phelps fan, because with him being like the best swimmer in Olympic history, almost everyone is his fans. I like him, he is a great swimmer and considering the fact that he is breaking world records most of the time when he gets gold medal, he is almost every body's favorite and the most popular swimmer on the U.S. Olympic team. But, it does sound a lot like an excuse to cover up a crush. But, nobody can know for sure but you. You have to look inside yourself for the real answer.
