Is it color or colour?

why do some people spell color different. i spell it COLOR but ive seen it also spelled COLOUR. which is right?

If you look in a dictionary, you'll find that both spellings are acceptable. It just depends on where you live. Here in Australia, we spell it "colour."

Color is mostly used in the United States.

Colour is used in England.

i think in the uk they spell it colour but in the usa i think we spell it color

Colour is the UK form. Americans spell it color. =)

colour is the british-french-canadian way of spelling it. but some americans and people from other countries prefer to spell it this way. both are correct, though.

They're both right ~ depending on what part of the world you live in, that is.
