Is it common for a female in the army to marry a male, who is not in the army?

I see no reason why not. The Army is her occupation her husband may have another career path not neccesarilly the military.

But do not expect the husband to be very welcome as he is not "military" and the "wives clubs" are really not open to male spouses either.  He will be a bit of a misfit.   But maybe you can get him to join too.  There are many couples in service and that is kind of neat.

I would say it is more common because there are more males who are in non-military jobs than there are who are in the Army.

my friends ucle just got maried to a girl in the army there is no problem with that at all
