I've worked with a lot of angry chefs, who like to cut corners and do a couple of things that the customer wouldnt want to see, but I've never seen any chef go that far.

I've worked 20+ years in a restaurant, and no, it is not common.

Where I work, the cook is upset with one of the regular customers, but she said she would wait for him in the parking lot some day. She said he's not worth loosing her job over, if she messed with his food.

It really isn't worth it. This day and age, you can get into soo much trouble. It's not as easy as it seems.

i work around a lot of cooks and chefs who do get mad about certain things, but i have never seen them do anything gross to food just because they were upset.
