Is it common for men to sleep on the couuch after a baby?

so i have noticed this, that after women have a baby, the man ends up on the couch... for what ever reason. like he doesnt sleep in the bed? this happend to me and then this other girl. has it happend to you or is it really that common?

i know it isnt a good sign, but i wanted to see how common it was!

if you're bringing the baby into bed, maybe there just isn't enough room? or maybe he's having trouble sleeping and doesn't want to keep you up. you could always ask him.

yes it is really common........especially if you are breast feeding  Does he have to get up early in the morning to work?

I don't know anyone who forced their husband to sleep on the couch after their baby was born.  I say, keep him in bed next to you and when the baby wakes up, you can jab him to let him know it's HIS turn to change the diaper!  :-)

Goodness, my husband doesn't even sleep on the couch after we have a fight.  Maybe that's why we've been married 29 years.

Maybe its because the baby keeps the man up at night and he has to get up and work in the morning. Other than that I dont know. My fiance is in bed with me
