  1. CDL drivers are held to higher standards. Yes we must wear the belt weather it's in a bus or truck . It's a matter of staying in the seat and able to keep vehicle under control .

  2. How many School Bus accidents is it going to take to realize that seat belts should be mandetory on School Buses?

Whatever the cost and whatever it takes to ensure that the seat belts are on and properly fastened on each Child should be the responsibily of anyone who drives a School Bus! If drivers don't want that responsibility they should not be driving a School Bus!

The Board of Education must adopt policies, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that all passengers, including the driver, wear these belts or harnesses or both, whenever the bus is in motion.

However, a school bus driver may not be held personally liable for the failure of passengers to wear safety belts as required by the Board's regulations.

  3. it is indeed gotta keep safe peeps :P

  4. yes, no ifs or buts

  5. Seat belts are on the bus for special needs children. The Question keeps coming up about why the children do not have seatbelts. Well here it goes, the seats are padded on the back and are high so the child will not fly forward if they are sitting down the way they should be.  The type of seatbelts that would have to be used would have to be heavy duty and it is not fun to be hit with one of those. The driver can not make sure at all times that everyone is buckled up. Lots of parents do not understand why and never will. The speed limit on a bus is 45mph or lower depending on the road, it does take alot to mess a bus up. Trust me they are just as safe on the bus w/o a seatbelt  as they are in a car with one.

  6. I think so, as far as I know the only drivers who dont need to wear belts are multidrop drivers and taxi drivers ( only with passenger in car )

  7. For safety and for your good life and your own sake, yes, YES,YES! they must be used at all times. I saw too much newspaper reports, on people wearing seatbelts during accidents and managing to survive.
