  1. Get away from him immediately or you will probably not celebrate your sixth year of sobriety.  If you really think you need to stay married to the idiot, turn him in to the police.  I actually would contact state police as often locals don't want to get involved with couples.

  2. Pot smoking makes a person dumb & numb.  You are not controlling just rational.  Congratulations on being sober for 5 years.  Nobody is worth staying with if they choose to be a doper.  Yes....pot is a drug!  I stopped doing pot a long time ago and cannot stand being around anybody who is smoking weed.........they're boring.  Drop the zero and find a hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Good luck.

  3. That depends on you.

I have a friend that is buying a two story house and has two children. His wife hates pot, but she allows him to do it outside not in the house. They compromise, but she never left him for that habit.

  4. There is nothing wrong with wanting your spouse to stay sober - and it's certainly not an unreasonable request.

I would sit down and have a talk with him. Explain to him exactly why you wish that he would not smoke. Hopefully he will listen. If  not then you will need to make a choice as to whether you wish to stay in the marriage or not.

  5. stand on your ground. In your action i don't see any wrong doing. If a girl i living with and doing this i will dump her *** too

As i see you showed supportive, and you care the lives my lead to both of you and may be your own child lives in the future.

Unfortunate that he never grow up and don't understand it is costing health problems and also illegal by law.

IT is ground of divorced. His action bring dangerous to himself, you, and your own children. If you have kids

  6. Stay true to yourself and your sobriety. If he can not, will not, by all means move on. The temptations and anger over him not remaining sober will build, and the bridge will break.. If he has that little of respect for you, and himself, its time to move on. I applaud you for your strength in remaining sober. Give him the ultimatum......the drugs, or you.

  7. You stand firm girl!

It is a discusting habit and you have given up everything, so he should do so to, in support.

  8. Stand your ground! You deserve to have a drug free life and if anything he is trying to control you with his drug use. I have been on both sides of the fence about drug use.  I dumped my stupid 1st hubby for his drug use because I wanted to quit.  I have been drug free almost 20 years and free of alcohol 12 years on Sept. 1, 2008

  9. No because you are trying to help them better themselves and keep your self from being tempted. Controlling is asking someone to do something unreasonable. This is by no means unreasonable.

  10. I don't think you are trying to control your spouse, but are probably trying to just be a resposible adult living with another responsible law abiding adult.  I think you are thinking of setting a good example for your children ( if you have them) as well as possible repercussions if your spouse were caught such as loss of job, inability to be insured at work, no life insurance, trouble with the law, etc.  After explaining all the reasons and the fact that you just care about the wellbeing of him/her and your relationship he/she should understand. Good luck!

  11. STAND your ground! It's not easy to stay sober if your around people who do that...He should WANT to quit for you you practically gave him an ultimatum if he wants you or the pot...now it's up to him...Hope this helped!!

  12. don't be weak, you know what you want out of life
