Is it considered a sin to fall in love with someone while you're married? I'm not talking about actively...?

Everyone has temptation.  The action is what makes it cheating.  The thoughts are just thoughts.  Anyone trying to shame you because of your thoughts are overreating and playing thought police.

 

Resist it.  If the other person is resisting you will notice the person isn holding back or not speaking to you much either.  There are also times when people marry the wrong person and end up meeting the right person then out of spite start being cruel to that other person and blame that person for merely existing.  Be nice to the other person but know that you are married.  If you do indeed love this other person and feel you married the wrong person get a divorce first.

I'd suggest you do get to know the other person more before deciding you do actually love that person though.  It could just be lust.  If you've played games to figure out if the other person has feelings for you and you are getting the silent treatment, you may want to be honest but get to know this person on a platonic level. That doesn't mean meet in person somewhere either.  There is the internet!
