Is it cool to wear a non classic striped button down to an interview?

Since this is the etiquette section I will answer appropriately.  Not really.  If you do happen to have something a bit nicer I truly would wear it.  Even though we don't like to believe that people don't "base" their opinions of us on their first impressions of us it truly is a very true statement.  Dress as nicely as you can without overdressing for the interview since you didn't say exactly what type of job you were being interviewed for.  Be clean and make sure your clothes are neat.  Smile and be confident.  Looking your best and being polite will win you points guaranteed!!! Add a tie, slacks, & nice shoes and you're set.  Remember to smile, and, remember that you are interviewing them as well.
