i use 30 30 championship cloth and it runs me bout 250 bucks !

It depends on the the felt, if you want top of the line which is simonis 860 it will be around 550 dollars, but average felt is around 350 dollars.

Depends on the table, but most can be done for under $200.00.

Between $300 and $500 is reasonable.  If you use your pool table often, then no it's not costly.  The improvement is worth every penny spent.  You aren't going to have to refelt the table again for years if it's a table you use at home.
