What does voting have to do with economics? And where does the impression come from that America controls the planet?  I'm not sure which history, geography or civics courses the questioner has taken. Apparently he wasn't listening too well.

voting is a right not a law so it's not criminal.  I wasn't aware we controlled the planet though - that being the case, I want my share of that oil.

The U.S. Army does intercede to protect the interests of The U.S.A. and make sure The U.S.A. has a controlling intrest in oil and such things. The part about the votes may not be true as more may vote than are said too. Vote Rigging and jailing to prevent voting is a concern. People also care about many issue they are said not to and mant protests have been made on these issues such as Globalization. Corporations wag the tail of U.S. Military Forces. The have more money than many nations.

What makes you think our votes make a difference? The government is going to put who THEY want in the office, regardless of popular votes. Ever heard of the electoral vote? Look what happened when it was Gore vs. Bush

Far from it., the USA is in a worse situation that your media is telling you.

You are in a depression or as your government calls it by its buzz word recession.

You citizens are losing their homes,their jobs,and your dollar is worthless.

I cannot understand that in a democracy everyone does not have to vote.

One rule for the rich and elite and another for the poor.

Poor poor USA..once you were a great nation.

Now you because of your governments stupidity are now a country and nation in disgrace.

If you don't vote in Australia, you get fined.  They should do that everywhere.
