  1. Bills in bars and restaurants are required by law to include service, but it is customary to round out your bill with some small change unless you're dissatisfied.

  3. Nearly every restaurant in Paris will have 'Service Compris ___ %" on the menu somewhere, meaning a tip of ___ % will be automatically built into your bill.  Many people still leave a bit extra for nice service, however.
