I'd let him chew it, but the problem is he's EATING it. Chewing, swallowing the cardboard. Whats going on and is it safe at all?

  1. no its good for them! it helps their teeth stay short and sharp so they don't over-grow and damage their gums! But i recommend proper gnawing toys for them!

  2. it's not terrible for him to chew it, just make sure there is no glue remnants on the roll. My mice and hamsters chew on them all the time..

  3. No it's fine, I always give them to my rabbits and they love them. Cheap play/chew toy for them.

  4. Well its perfectly fine every now and then but its not a part of a natural diet there for it could effect his stomache causeing things you dont wanna clean up.

  5. I'm pretty sure it's okay. my friend angela is a TOTAL animal freak and she let her guinea pig chew on one. she wouldn't have let him if it was bad for him. she knows stuff about that. and he ate it too.

  6. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Check in his nest for bits of mushy brown cardboard. Although this shouldn't be too dangerous, you can always take him to the vet if his behaviour and health changes. Give him wooden chew sticks instead, just to be sure.

  7. I got my guinea pig a tube made for guinea pigs, that is nontoxic. My guinea pig eats her tube too, but since mine is nontoxic, it won't make her sick. I am not sure if regular toilet paper tubes are safe, but you should try a tube made for guinea pigs. They enjoy it!

  8. No, its fine as long as you have removed all of the glue that holds the toilet paper onto the tube.

  9. Yes and no-ish.

Yes: It is great for their teeth and keeps them, 'in shape' so they won't get any problems of growing too big.

No: Not the white kind. They have been bleached, which PROBALY isn't an orange for your health... or is it... NOT.
