  1. Which part of Mexico? If you are traveling to middle Mexico, i will recommend to take the 10 Fwy all the way to Texas, (I usually cross trough El Paso)  Then take go south all the

    way as your destination.

Is Safer because you will drive the Most Part in the States than

    in Mexico.

    Great Trip!

  2. Well first of all there is a very high crime rate in mexico, particularly in the car theft category. If you drive any foreign made car, a luxury car, honda, toyota, bmw, lexus, mercedes, even a nice looking truck can very likely be stolen. I would not advise it unless you drive something crumby and older than a '94. Besides that fact, keep in mind mexico is still has somewhat of a corrupt government (why do you think they all come into our country?), and they can impound a car for no reason and charge you thousands to get it back [because you're on their grounds]. (happened to my uncle once). If you still decide to go I would get specific car insurance for going to mexico, and always keep your doors locked and your alarm on (if applicable).

  3. Most car insurance that you get in the USA is not good in Mexico.  You'll need to be sure you have insurance for the time you're down there.  I hear you can get in big trouble if you're found to be uninsured.  Check with your agent.

  4. You should be fine. People do drive a bit more aggressive than Americans, so just drive defensively. Traffic signs and rules are pretty much the same but remember in Mexico they use kilometers, so when you see "100" is not 100 miles/hr. Safe trip!

  5. NO its not dangerous i drove there LOTS of time and nothing has happened to me

and how do u think people from usa go to mexico when its spring break
