Is it dangerous to eat imported food products? I'm asking this because water is usually necessary in their manufacture and the water in foreign parts is often not up to our quality and hygiene standards.

  1. Yes, apprantly in spain they water stuff with sewage water and if you think of something like a tomato which is nearly all water this is sigusting. Also  DO NOT EAT  danish bacon, they are so cruel to their pigs. The bagged salad that you get in the shops, was found to have e-coli on where the workers had been to the toilet and not washed their hands before handling the salad.

    Erm gender and womans studies??

  2. Ms. Sophi obviously has never eaten Mexican tomatoes or beef or fed her pet Chinese pet food. You should be concerned about imported food. Check where it came from and if there have been problems in the past.

  3. WOW Celtish! I could never imagine you as a sensitive food shopper. Do all men in your part of the world worry about things like that? Or it is just the sweetlings like you? Smile.

Now to answer your question, if you keep worrying about the foods you consume, and there is absolutely no alternative food shopping available in your area, you just might get sick as a result of stress if nothing else. Don't worry about anything and enjoy life. That is the very best advice I can give you.

    Edit:

FYI, I am a world traveler, and have eaten everywhere I was fortunate enough to be at the time. Now, enjoy your little town and eat your home grown foods, unless you open your mind, you will continue your sheltered existence.

  4. It can be dangerous to eat NON-imported (domestic) food products!

    Go veggie.

  5. Its dangerous to eat alot of our foods with high quality standards so go figure.

  6. There maybe some elements of danger in imported foods, but it would be foolish to stop imports completely. If we stop imports, the cost of local food would rise , due to how much we can grow in this country versus how much we demand there is.  When food prices rises to high, it would hurt poor people and essnetially I would argue that this has more harm then imported food
