Question:

Is it dangerous to have undercooked eggs?

I had an omlette that was over easy yesterday and today I have a stomach ache and am wondering if it could be related.

  1. it may be..because a half cooked egg is full of bacteria, im sorry bt its true..some may tolerate it, however..if ul be more unfortunate..then u might get salmonellosis


  2. Would be very careful with that stuff. Salmonella typhi is normal flora in the intestines of chickens, and yes, every so often some of that bacteria can take a ride on an egg.

Yes, because of the salmonella they could possibly contain.  Even resturaunts have had to start cooking egges differently in some states.  (not sure about all of them, but I know of a few for sure)  They serve Ceasar salad differently and will not serve "runny" eggs or serve raw eggs.  (yeah, some people ask for them)  It has also been recommended to us at home to be sure eggs are cooked till there is no runny stuff, and don't l**k the bowl when you bake a cake that has added eggs, and don't eat raw cookie dough.....
