  1. I wouldn't worry at all about it.

I say this because there are literally millions of power lines all over the country and if they presented a significant risk - we'd know about it.

  2. The safety of long term exposure to HV transmission lines is not well established.  See the link below for a discussion of the subject. For myself,  I would make sure no part of the house was closer to the towers or lines than twice the tower height.  On a 3 acre lot, that should be possible.

  3. No negative health effects.   People just don't understand electricity and therefore assume that there are negative health side effects.  It's part of the paranoya pnenomenon that exists in this country.

  5. The information about that doesnt really exist. Of every study I have come across regarding this subject they were always inconclusive. I take that as it doesnt matter, my house has some huge powerlines right next to it.

  6. There have been a number of studies and ideas on this and nothing much proved either way. Bear in mind the power companies have a lot to lose if it was ever proved to be a danger and had to pay out compensation so guess what their studies show

I wouldn't live near one because I think there is a possibility. Let those that think its safe live there. They seem to be upset that anyone disagrees so maybe they're not that certain themselves.

  7. High voltage power lines have no effects on health. They can however bring down property values because of the standing stereotypes. But other than that they don't cause anything harmful...except perhaps insomnia if they buzz really loudly.
