Is it dangerous to use contact lens that are expired?

I bought contact lens in 2003 but I didn't open them until this very day, their expiration day is in June 2008, is it dangerous to use them now? What are the risks and are they high?

  2. Yes it can be a problem .Make sure your prescription is current. Don't use  with an expired prescription, and don't stock up on lenses right before the prescription is about to expire.

  4. They are probably ok to use. The FDA makes companies put expiration dates on everything nowadays. They even have expiration dates on sterile water. The plastic may degrade over time but if you are only off the expiration by a month or 2, you should be ok.

  7. Yes it can be a problem! Because the lens might give you side effects or you might start to feel you eye itching.

    Its very dangerous to use an expired one.

    But make sure to ask your doctor first!
