Is it dangerous to wake up a sleepwalker

i was just wandering if it is really dangerous to wake up a sleepwalker like that scene from step brothers

Yes, it can send them into shock because they are in a place they shouldnt be. I mean imagine going to sleep in your bed and then waking up in the middle of nowhere, scary right? So its best not to wake a sleepwalker and only hope they return to where they were sleeping. I dont think waking them could kill them unless they had a heart condition or something.

It won't kill them.

It may startle them, and you may want to be in a place where you could catch them if they fall, but it could be far worse if you let the sleep walker continue to sleep walk.

They are liable to cause harm to themselves or others while asleep.

The largest issues one faces when waking a sleep walker is the fact that the person is going to be disoriented, but you will likely not give them a heart attack unless they had some underlying heart condition to begin with.
